The 2022 annual registration renewal window opens on Monday, 25 October 2021 and will be open until Monday, 31 January 2022.

All nurses and midwives practising in Ireland are required to have their name on the Register of Nurses and Midwives which is maintained by NMBI and each year it is necessary to pay the annual renewal to maintain your registration. 

The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) in partnership with the Office of Nursing and Midwifery Service Director (ONMSD) will attend The Irish Times Higher Options online education expo on Wednesday, 13 and Thursday, 14 October 2021.

NMBI is inviting members of the public to apply to join a number of our committees. If you know anyone with an interest in regulation in the health sector, please share this link as we would like to hear from them.

We are calling for applications from public interest representatives for the following committees:

•        Midwives Committee

•        Audit and Risk Committee

•        Preliminary Proceedings Committee
