An Bord Altranais is committed to supporting a continuing education agenda, underpinned by patient safety and evidenced based practice. Continuing education is a lifelong learning process which takes place after the completion of the basic nursing education programme. It consists of planned learning experiences which are designed to augment the knowledge, skills and attitudes of registered nurses and midwives for the enhancement of nursing and midwifery practice, education, administration and research.
