Wanted: Professionals with experience in dementia or delirium care and research
This research project is looking at how someone (a family member, friend, neighbour, concerned community member or a paid carer without specialist qualifications) can help a person who is becoming confused because they are developing dementia or delirium.
The study is being conducted at the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, The University of Melbourne, Level 5, 207 Bouverie Street, Victoria 3010 Australia.
They are looking for 30 carers and 30 professionals to be on a Delphi expert panel. The Delphi expert panel will rate statements about how to help a person who is becoming confused according to whether they should be included in guidelines for the public. Everyone’s opinions count equally.
Time commitments: Participants will be asked to do about 3 online surveys over about 6 months. No travel or meetings required!
Expertise: To participate you must have professional experience providing services to individuals with dementia or delirium.
To participate you must live or work in one of the following countries:
• Australia • Canada • Ireland • New Zealand • United Kingdom • United States
When? This will start in the next few weeks.
If you are interested in participating please contact Kathryn Chalmers at Melbourne University at kathryn.chalmers@unimelb.edu.au.
