National Competence Assessment Document

NMBI is pleased to announce the development of the National Competence Assessment Document Year 1 to Year 4 / 4.5 is now complete. The use of the National Competence Assessment Document in different practice placements will be implemented by the thirteen Higher Education Institutions and their Allied Healthcare Partners in September 2019.

These documents will be used to assess the clinical competence of undergraduate nursing students on practice placements. The National Competence Assessment Document will also assist preceptors in guiding nursing students to achieve the required clinical competence that is appropriate to their year level.

For more information on the National Competence Assessment Document, preceptors should contact their Clinical Placement Coordinator/ Practice Development Nurse.
