Midwives Week 2014

NMBI are holding the first Midwives Week in recognition of Midwifery as a separate profession. Midwives Week will take place from April 28 – May 2 2014.  The theme for the week is “Promoting Safe Care for Mother and Baby".

The purpose of the week is to raise public awareness of the vital role of the midwife in our healthcare system. We plan to use the week as an opportunity to inform and educate members of the public, mothers and colleagues about the role and contribution of midwives in Ireland.
