Removal from the Register for non-payment of Annual Retention Fee
Following a meeting of the NMBI Board on 29th April, the decision has been taken to extend the date for Removal from the Register for non-payment of fees in accordance with Section 77 (1) of the Nurses and Midwives Act 2011.

Road Safety Authority/Royal College of Physicians of Ireland: New Medical Fitness to Drive Guidelines

The National Programme for Traffic Medicine, a joint initiative between the Road Safety Authority (RSA) and the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI), have launched the following publication 'Sláinte agus Tiomáint Medical Fitness to Drive Guidelines' for bus and truck drivers, known as Group 2 drivers. These new gudelines replace all previous editions.

Dementia Elevator Project Report
The Dementia Elevator Project has published the following report, Irish National Dementia Educational Needs Analysis 2014 Report.

This report highlights the strengths and gaps that exist in dementia skills and knowledge in Ireland, and considers models of best practice in dementia training and education both nationally and internationally. The findings are currently being used to develop appropriately tailored dementia-related training and education programmes in Ireland.
