Scope of Practice Review - Survey

The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland recently commissioned a team of researchers from four of Ireland’s nursing and midwifery schools  to undertake a review of the Scope of Nursing and Midwifery Practice Framework.

As part of this review, nurses and midwives across all grades and settings have been randomly selected to take part in a survey.

Scope of Practice Review – Call for Submissions
The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland has commissioned a team of researchers to conduct a review of the Scope of Nursing and Midwifery Practice Framework. The team invites written submissions from interested stakeholders in this review, particularly nurses and midwives, individuals, agencies and organisations and members of the public.

National Council of State Boards of Nursing (US)

NMBI is delighted to announce its associate membership of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).  In 2007, the members of NCSBN opened its membership to others for the first time in the organisations history.

IMB Important Safety Information - Combined hormonal contraceptives (CHCs)

The Irish Medicines Board (IMB) has recently published important safety information communication on the difference in risk of thromboembolism between products, the importance of individual risk factors and to remain vigilant for signs and symptoms of combined hormonal contraceptives (CHCs).

This information will be of interest to Registered Nurse Prescribers, nurses and midwives working in the area of family planning.   Click here for more information.
