100 Years of Midwifery in Ireland

Midwifery professionals from across the island of Ireland came together on 19 January at Parliament Buildings, Stormont. They launched the year long centennial celebrations of the Midwives (Ireland) Act 1918 and the contribution midwifery has made women’s health in Ireland over the past century. Dawn Johnston, NMBI's Director of Midwifery, gave a presentation on the 100 year history of midwifery.

• This experience must be certified by the employer.

Further information will be made available on the NMBI website shortly.
