Although AIIHPC does not provide direct palliative care the Institute works with the providers of this care to improve the quality of services to people with an illness or condition which may limit or shorten their lives. We are committed to having the views of patients and their families at the heart of what we do.

Members of Voices4Care will share and discuss issues which will inform how best to care for people, and their views and experience will inform and influence our work.We focus on palliative care education, research, policy and practice and we want those receiving palliative care, their carers and people from the wider community to be involved in this work through Voices4Care.”

4. All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care Launches Opportunities to Expand Knowledge and Skills in Palliative Care Education, Fellowships Fund


All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care (AIIHPC) has launched a €14,000 education and practice fellowship fund aimed at developing the knowledge, capacity and leadership skills of those working in the palliative care communities in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The fellowships are open to individuals, from clinical, education or community backgrounds, who wish to further develop their knowledge of palliative care education and promote the sharing of information within their own organisations and beyond.

Fellowship application forms and detailed information are available on AIIHPC’s website www.aiihpc.org and the closing date for applications is 1pm on Wednesday the 1 May.
