New Scope of Practice Framework approved by NMBI Board
The Board of NMBI at its 30 June 2015 meeting approved the revised Scope of Nursing and Midwifery Practice Framework. The Board has defined scope of practice as “the range of roles, functions, responsibilities and activities which a registered nurse or registered midwife is educated, competent and has authority to perform.”
The Scope document which includes a new decision-making flowchart will now be sent for final edit and design stages before being published in early Autumn 2015. Read more about the project to update the scope of practice.
