Over the last three years, the Irish Association of Directors of Nursing and Midwifery (IADNM) and partner organisations including the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, the Office of the Chief Nurse (Department of Health), Office of the Nursing and Midwifery Services Director (HSE), INMO, Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland, and Heads of Deans and Faculties of Nursing and Midwifery formed a Nursing and Midwifery Leadership Network (NMLN). The purpose of the NMLN is to collaborate and share ideas and experiences and to reflect, discuss and articulate a voice for the professions that is representative, credible, innovative and visionary. The NMLN aims to promote, strengthen and amplify the voices of the professions of nursing and midwifery and ensure that nurses and midwives are at the forefront of crafting new models for health and social care systems in the years ahead.
The NMLN recently launched The Power of Conversation: Nursing and Midwifery Leadership in Action, which portrays four big group conversational events, the outcomes of which were configured around themes.
