All Ireland Gerontological Nurses Association (AIGNA) annual master class

The All Ireland Gerontological Nurses Association (AIGNA) is the voice of gerontological nursing in Ireland. Its aim is to promote healthy ageing and wellbeing of older adults through the advancement of excellence in nursing. The wellbeing of older adults is at the heart of its person-centred agenda.

AIGNA recently held its 9th annual conference in Waterford: “Social Connectedness and Positive Ageing”. The annual master class, “Person Centred Care under the Assisted Decision Making Capacity Legislation”, will be held on 19 October 2017 in the Radisson Hotel, Athlone. The annual fee for AIGNA membership is €30. Additional options are available which include a twice yearly journal ‘JAIGNA’, conference, master class and access to the website.
