The polls are open for voting in the NMBI Board Election 2015 and will close on Monday, 30 November 2015 at 4pm. You will need your NMBI PIN and Voter Security Code, which were sent to you by post, in order to vote. To cast your vote, visit the NMBI election website.

Withdrawal of publication: Guidance to Nurses and Midwives with Regard to Strike Action
 

Guidance to Nurses and Midwives with Regard to Strike Action (An Bord Altranais, February 2006) has been withdrawn from the NMBI guidance publications, effective 27 November 2015.

The NMBI Board has issued the following statement in its place:

Nurses and midwives must refer to the NMBI Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics for Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (2014), Scope of Nursing and Midwifery Practice Framework, (2015) and the Practice Standards for Midwives (May 2015) to inform their considerations and individual decision-making regarding industrial action.

New return to midwifery practice course curriculum

A national return to midwifery practice course curriculum has been developed by the National Midwifery Education Group, which is a sub group of the Association of Directors of Centres of Nurse and Midwifery Education. The curriculum has been approved by NMBI. Find out more.
