100 Years of Nursing Regulation in Ireland Conference
 

Following on from the Save the Date in last month’s eZine, we are pleased to update you that registration for the 100 Years of Nursing Regulation in Ireland Conference is now open.

 

NMBI is commemorating 100 years of Nursing Regulation in Ireland by holding a national conference to bring the nursing community together. This event will provide a platform for consideration, debate and celebration of a century of nursing regulation in Ireland, and the future it holds.

NMBI’s Ann O’Brien retires after 41 years of service

NMBI’s Ann O’Brien has retired after 41 years of dedicated service to the public, nurses and midwives.

 

Over the course of Ann’s career with NMBI, the regulation of the nursing and midwifery professions has changed immeasurably - Ann has been at the forefront of this change.

 

NMBI thanks Ann O’Brien for her many years of excellent service and wishes her well in her retirement.

Focus on Fitness to Practise series - Article Three is published

The third article of NMBI's Focus on FTP series has been published. The article examines complaints about nurses and midwives relating to competence and poor professional performance.

 

The Focus on FTP series is an 8-part online series of articles from NMBI. These articles will focus on issues in relation to complaints made about registrants.

 

The primary aim of the series is to inform and guide registrants so that they have increased awareness of fitness to practise issues, and this can inform their practice and behaviour.
