Action required: Pay Candidate Registration Fee

Dear ,

All undergraduate nursing and midwifery students in Ireland are legally required to be registered on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland's (NMBI) Candidate Register.  The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) has been advised by your Higher Education Institute, that you have commenced an undergraduate nursing/midwifery programme this year. As you may be aware, NMBI is the nursing and midwifery regulator in Ireland. Find out more about NMBI.

As well as maintaining the Register of Nurses and Midwives, NMBI also maintains a Candidate Register
which includes all undergraduate nursing and midwifery students in Ireland. In accordance with the Nurses and Midwives Act of 2011, all undergraduate nursing/midwifery students must be recorded on NMBI's Candidate Register for the duration of their student training.  NMBI issues undergraduate nursing/midwifery students with a Candidate Certificate which includes your candidate number and details of the training programme you are undertaking. This is an important document which you will be required to produce for your nursing/midwifery placements.

To obtain your NMBI Candidate Certificate, please create your online account by clicking on the pay image above (or visit
